I needed a place to write, to put on paper, so to speak, our story. The love we share is epic, it is old, it is timeless and true. Our children need to know, our generations will speak of our story for many years to come.
“Letters to You” came to me one afternoon, as I sat in the living room, watching the rain stream down the front window and I was missing you. I recalled the time you asked me to write our story, and write it well, in a fashion that would make our children understand that there is someone special out there for them, that saying “yes” to the first guy/girl that came along wasn’t a good idea. To wait. To hold out, because it’s out there, that deep love, the kind that poets and artits depict in their works.
As these letters come to me, I will write them. I will share them. With you, with the world, with our children, and our grandchildren. I find it easier to write my feelings for you if I am speaking directly to you, hence the “letters”.
Not to mention it gives me a way to feel closer to you when you are not near to me, as your work takes you from me so often. I find myself missing you deeply, and by writing letters to you, I feel as though I bring you a little closer to me somehow.
I thank God every day for you, for bringing us together and allowing us to find what so many people spend their lives searching for and never achieve. I am so blessed and so grateful. I love you more every day. What we share is something that is so special. I can only pray that our children will find the same kind of love early in life, recognize it, don’t let their pride get in the way and hold on with both hands forever. Learn from our mistakes, and learn from our examples.
I love you.
Forever.
I love your site. Keep it up !
